Join us for the August edition of Thirsty Thursday Block Party on Thursday, August from 4–7pm in the Avid Hotel parking lot across from Wildewood.
We’re bringing together local drinks, great food, live music, and a chance to support a fantastic local nonprofit, all in one easygoing summer evening.
Enjoy live music from Billy Breslin, easy eats with Rips Dogs and Chips, and all your favorite locally crafted Southern Maryland beverages!
We’re also excited to welcome Sleep in Heavenly Peace as our featured nonprofit. Their volunteers build and deliver beds to local children because they believe no kid should sleep on the floor.
Grab a drink from your favorite local producers, enjoy some live music, , and spend your Thursday evening with the community.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds twin beds for children ages 3-17 in St. Mary’s County and the southern tip of Calvert County. They believe all children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Along with a new bed, each child receives a new twin mattress, mattress pad cover, pillow, bedding, books, toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. Their mission statement says it all: No KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!
